Season-opening win: FC Gherdëina beat Salurn 4:2

4:2 opening win at Mulin da Coi

FC Gherdëina opened the new Landesliga season with a 4:2 (3:2) home win over Salurn. Playing in front of their home crowd at Mulin da Coi, the team fell behind early but turned the match around before half-time.

After Davide Sini's early opener for Salurn (4'), Riccardo Piccoliori equalised in the 20th minute, set up by Jan Martin Vinatzer. Goals from Dragush Masha (29') and Mattias Rifesser (45') put Gherdëina 3:2 up at the break, before Massimo Lorenz curled in the decisive 4:2 in the 78th minute.

With this win, FC Gherdëina sit 2nd in the table after matchday 1, on 3 points.
